To support a child’s development, a ball track was designed in cooperation with Lässig GmbH. The base of the track is formed by two rounded walls through which tubes can be threaded. The walls can be rotated and detached from each other by connecting them.
The concept presented promotes numerous didactic goals: Children learn problem-solving thinking, logical action and how to deal with frustration by building a marble run. A sense of achievement strengthens their self-confidence. Concentration is improved during planning and building. At the same time, many senses are stimulated: Visual perception through following the ball, auditory perception through sounds produced, and tactile perception through touching different shapes and materials. Fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and spatial thinking are trained. Children learn about physical laws such as gravity and speed. Creativity is also stimulated and imagination is encouraged. The marble run can be used alone or together, which strengthens both independence and social skills such as cooperation and consideration.
